Tips for traveling through Italy
Italy is a country full of history, flavors, incredible landscapes, and postcard-perfect cities. If you're thinking about taking advantage of our wedding trip to explore other parts of the country, we totally understand! To help you navigate easily and enjoy your trip to the fullest, we've compiled some practical tips on transportation, accommodations, food, language, and more. Whether it's your first time in Italy or you're a seasoned traveler, these tips can make your experience even more comfortable and special.

How to get around Italy
Car: In Sicily, renting a car is very useful for exploring beaches, towns, and rural areas. But in cities like Rome or Florence, it's best to avoid it.
Train: Italy has an excellent and fast rail system. Use Frecciarossa, Italo, or Trenitalia trains to travel between major cities. Buy tickets in advance from Trainline or Trenitalia .
Urban public transport: In large cities it works well (metro, tram, bus), although in some areas in the south it may be less punctual.
RECOMMENDED PLACES IN SICILY
If you have 3-5 days in Sicily, you can focus on the areas of Palermo, Mondello, Cefalù, San Vito Lo Capo, and the surrounding area of the wedding venue.
If you have more time (7-10 days or more), it is worth combining the east (Taormina, Syracuse, Etna) with the west (Trapani, San Vito) or even doing a complete tour of the island by car.
Here we share the best places to visit in Sicily.
